Alumni of the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna

Since 1964, about 1500 students from more than 100 different countries have graduated from the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna. Many DA alumni have become diplomats but even more have chosen different careers, particularly in the public administration of their countries, in EU institutions, international organisations, and private businesses.

Numerous DA alumni have reached influential positions, e.g. Valentin Inzko (U.N. High Representative and EU Special Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina), Celso L.N. Amorim (Minister of External Relations of Brazil), Brigitte Öppinger-Walchshofer (Managing Director of the Austrian Development Agency), or Karl Millauer (former CEO of the Christ Water Technology Group and now Senior Vice-President of Aquatech).
